To celebrate Gustav Holst's 150th Anniversary, on 21 September, 2024, I am delighted to showcase my original acrylic and ink painting, entitled "Solar Symphony", depicting Gustav Holst 'conducting The Planets', and thought this a fitting tribute to such an eminent composer.
This is my personal concept, incorporating my love of music, the solar system, and the architecture of the regency buildings beside Imperial Gardens, Cheltenham, where this bronze statue of Holst is situated on a plinth in the centre of an octagonal water feature depicting the planets.
