Hello, I'm Jane Ware, a full time Creative Artist, having left my job in finance to follow my dream! It's been a tough few years through Lock-down, but I've remained pro-active, optimistic and cheerfully positive knowing that better days will come! and they have!
My introduction to art started with an early education, aged 3, at Elmfield Rudolf Steiner School in Stourbridge – which offered progressive teaching as a balance for the physical, emotional, intellectual, cultural and spiritual needs of each child.
I moved to Cheltenham as a young teenager, and took with me a love and enthusiasm for all things creative.
I have many diverse and varied interests, but all centre around art, music, literature and travel, involving visits to galleries, exhibitions, museums, theatres and festivals.

..My paintings are inspired by Cotswold landmarks, Jazz culture, cafe conversations and holiday memories, from seagulls in St Ives to sunsets in South Africa!
Painting mainly in watercolour and ink, I also enjoy experimenting with colourful acrylics and developing New York cityscapes from visits to my daughter, who works in Manhattan!

I exhibit annually at The Cheltenham Open Air Art Exhibition (now Art in the Park) since 1975 (where I sold my very first painting of a poppy for £6 !!). I have been a Committee member for 18 years, and previous Chair for 4 years. I am a member of The Cotswold Art Club, an enthusiastic supporter of local art and sculpture exhibitions, and welcome all new opportunities to display my artwork in public exhibition spaces, offering Affordable Art for All.
